About us

HER LAB

HER Lab was founded in July 2020 by Principal Investigator Dr. Omolola (Lola) Adeoye-Olatunde. It serves as an innovative community-engaged research “collaboratory” for the Purdue University Center for Health Excellence Quality and Innovation (CHEQI). Since its inception, HER Lab has grown to have more than 20 staff, fellows, and college student members spanning program managers, community health workers, public health and pharmacy graduate students and Doctor of Pharmacy students.

Together, we promote healthcare accessibility by investigating the factors that drive effective implementation and provision of accessible health services in under-resourced communities.

We do this by leveraging existing public health information and working alongside communities and community-based organizations across the United States and globally to co-create and evaluate approaches for closing healthcare accessibility gaps. These approaches are contextualized by each community’s unique needs, values and culture to improve public health and inform health policy.
